What if you could skip the wasted time getting up ultra early to pack gear, only to drive to your favorite campsite and find out it's booked? What if you could make a last minute decision to go camping with your family and have everything set up and waiting for you when you arrive, but still have a few of your favorite conveniences? This is what we offer here at the 7U Ranch, in Lucile, Idaho.

We're a working ranch/farm, so during your stay you might see us working with our cattle, sheep, hogs, Jersey cows, goats, or cattle dogs. If you're curious, we'd love to answer any questions. We're super excited to share some of the beautiful views and healing atmosphere with you.
Coffee/ Tea
Inside your tent, you will find matches and newspaper to start a fire in the fire pit. (Wood is next to the fire pit) Please note: During fire season, we'll let you know if fires can't be legally allowed. Otherwise, Enjoy!
Out houses:
There are 2 outhouses for your convenience...
The open air (outdoor shower) is to the right of the store. (Wagon Wheel Fence Surrounds It)

- No need for sleeping bags - one less thing to pack! There are 2 twin beds in tent #1 (10'x10' canvas tent) with clean bedding. So, come unwind.
- Rejuvenate while sipping pressed coffee on the deck of a cozy wall tent, overlooking the creek in our walnut Grove.
- Purchase pastured meats, and raw dairy for your breakfast, lunch or dinner from our nearby ranch store (meats are frozen). Or, have delicious ranch raised food waiting in a cooler for you at the tent when you arrive, by placing an order on our website.
- Enjoy the super fun seating by the fire pit, or the handcrafted swing by the creek made from the walnut and locust trees surrounding you.
- Relax with fresh ground coffee or herbal tea, 7U ranch muffins, pastured cream and handmade butter(from our ranch kitchen, on the deck overlooking the creek
- Try some of our delicious homemade ice cream, made by Charise in our ranch kitchen weekly.
- Purchase our pastured meats, fresh raw milk and homemade ice cream, from our ranch store near your tent.(We can even thaw meat you purchase early and have it ready for you when you arrive, if you let us know early)
- Take a walk down to the pond, or explore along our walking trail.
- Take in some of the local fun while you're here ...fishing, rafting, hiking and hunting are among the favorites!
Coffee/ Tea
- Everything you need to make pressed coffee or tea, is in your tent. There's a propane grill by the fire pit for tent #1 and a propane coleman grill on the deck of tent #2.
- Every Morning...We serve muffins (with our homemade Jersey butter) and pressed coffee with our fresh pastured raw cream, on a tray. It will be left in the store for you to pick up at the time you choose and can be taken to your tent to enjoy. When you're finished, just leave the tray in the store and we'll pick it up!(Let us know if you take cream-from our Jersey cows, honey, or raw sugar)
- The grill next to the fire pit is propane and is all set up for your use, if you need it for tent #1 (10'x 10' -7U Lamb theme with 2 twin beds).
- Their is a propane coleman grill on the deck for tent#2 (14'x16'' -7U Calf Theme with queen bed) set up and ready to use.

- There is natural lavender shampoo and conditioner inside
- It is a propane shower, so it has hot water
- Clean towels and wash clothes are available in your tent.

Things to do nearby...
Just come to relax, or take in some of the local fun. There are lots of great things to do near our ranch and we provide information and maps in your tent. Here are some examples:
- Take a walk along the creek and down to the pond/ picnic area
- Pick up delicious pastured meats or enjoy delicious homemade ice cream in our -on site store.
- Cook dinner over a campfire, or on the grill near your tent (campfires will not be available during high fire danger)
- Don’t feel like cooking? ~ order a meal from our menu and we’ll bring it to your tent.
- Schedule a tour of the ranch and animals
- Pick wild berries, plums and cherries along the creek (when in season - average June through August)
- Learn about local herbs and their uses on the ranch (a descriptive book is available in your tent and we are here to answer questions)
- Go Hiking -Many trails to explore up Cow Creek, Rapid River, Around the 7 Devils and many other nearby areas. Forest Service maps are provided in your tent.
- Rapid River Trail - offers some beautiful scenery and some fly fishing opportunities. (about a 40 minute drive from the ranch)
- Explore the Seven Devils trails and lakes. Or, head to the Fire Lookout. From there, you can see 4 states ~ Idaho, Washington and Oregon and Montana. (Lookout is about ½ mile hike from the road)
- Take your ATVs for a scenic drive up cow creek and on to historic Kirkwood Ranch on the Snake River
- Explore the Lucile Caves (a 15 minute drive)
- Hunting and fishing -We are surrounded by Mountains and Rivers and there are some great local fishing and hunting opportunities
- Fall Fiber Arts Fest - on the Camas Prairie offered by Sweet Pines Alpacas and Alpaca Harmony. During this fun event, September 29th and 30th, 2018 they offer several fiber arts classes and workshops that you will enjoy. Make sure to sign up early - The classes fill up quickly!
- Local event's held at Mavens' Haven, including a Garden to Table Dinner as well as some classes and retreats to share knowledge of herbal medicine and homesteading skills ~ just a short distance down the road. (see their website for events)
- Rafting or Jet Boat trips in Riggins, Idaho (a 20 minute drive)
- Swimming at several beaches along the Salmon River
- Historical Museum at St. Gertrude in Cottonwood, Idaho (a 1 hour drive from the ranch)
- During Jet Boat Races in April, Helicopter Rides are offered by Salmon River Helicopters (a 20 minute drive)
- Summer Rodeos are held in the surrounding area (Grangeville, Whitebird and Riggins)
- Logger Days Celebration in New Meadows, Idaho in Early September (1 hour drive from the ranch)
