Charise AllenCharise raises the sheep with her sister, here on the ranch. She also milks the cows and loves to make natural cleaners with quality ingredients through her business: Natural Oil Health I have tried many different things while trying to get stains out of our carpets in the past. Between dogs and the family living were we do, our carpets are bound to get their share of stains. I used to research for natural ways to get stains out of my carpet, but none of them seamed to work, especially since most of those stains were pretty tough, and we ended up just replacing the carpet. I purchased my first vehicle from my parents this year and it motivated me to dig even further for vehicle stains. A blue 2005 dodge grand caravan is what I bought. They sold it to me because it was getting older and they needed a newer (and less stained) van to deliver orders like meat and Dairy. All of the seats are gone except for the driver and passenger seats so it makes it more handy for things that wouldn't fit in it otherwise. The carpet in it has a lot of bad stains from the people who had it before my parents, so I knew I had some challenges ahead of me. What I found out works BEST!!!So a month ago I decided I would try to remove the stains... I sprinkled some baking soda over the stains, sprayed it with white vinegar, and let it set until it was dry. Well that turned into a total disaster! Obviously, I didn't know what I was doing, or think "maybe I should get some rags and dry it myself so it doesn't take forever." It took quite a while to dry, and I ended up getting pretty busy, so it took me awhile to finally make time to vacuum up my baking soda mess. So next, I tried for plan B, where I did some more research and finally came up with this recipe and it worked great on both house and vehicle carpets. I hope it works as well for you as it has for me. You can kind of get an idea of my process when it comes to developing one of my cleaners for Natural Oil Health. I really don't compromise the toxin free promise, because I wouldn't want it to be unhealthy for my family or yours, so I'm not afraid to experiment and make a few mistakes, until I get it right. I'll give you my carpet cleaning recipe below, and if you'd like to try my toxin free cutting board oil and wood polish, or my NEW Fall scented toxin free spray cleaner you can get them here. You can get my Recipe below: Ingredients: 1 Cup baking soda 2T salt 20 drops of essential oil ( I use Lemon, or Purify but any one of them works great!) about 2 cups of warm water 1 T of pure Basic H2O soap (you can get it here) toothbrush, or scrub brush, and Rags (I used old Towels) water Directions: 1. Mix the baking soda, salt, and essential oil using a fork. Then mix together the warm water and basic H in a 16oz spray bottle. 2. lightly sprinkle baking soda mixture over stains, not too heavy so that the baking soda doesn't stick there forever. 3. Then spray the carpet down with your spray you just made, trying to keep a balance between not to heavy but enough that it can soak up the stains, and let it set for about 1/2 hr. 4. Now you can scrub your carpet using a toothbrush or scrub brush, and then using the rags try to get the carpet as dry as possible. And you can also afterwards, spray with water and dry again to get any residue out. If you have any questions, I'd love to help. Hi Rise! Thanks for the recipe..I use all natural products in my home for everything. Was wondering if you buy/use Young living Essential Oils? I use them exclusively, and usually buy them thru Lola Gordon, if you do use them, I would order from you..I need Thieves and Frankensense right now, but I do not have an up to date price list. So, let me know..Thanks so much..Terri

Thank you Terri! I actually sell doTERRA and Revive oils. They are really great quality with documentation on their quality and purity testing results, but so is Young Living. These two brands are just the ones I personally like.
